Hamilton Watch Co., Lancaster, Penn., "946", 18 size, 23 jewels, stem wind and lever set, adjusted to 5 positions, ornately damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, gold jewel settings, gold timing screws and Goldthwait micrometric regulator in a silverode, screw back and bezel open face case with applied gold filled locomotive on back, Montgomery Arabic numeral, double sunk white enamel dial, and blued steel spade hands, serial #986334, c1915, with nickel alloy chain.
CONDITION:
CASE: Case has housed another movement; Minor dings and pin pricks; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches on inner surface of case; Locomotive with brassing; Crystal with scratches; Bow with dings. DIAL: Chip in enamel at setting lever, concealed by bezel. HANDS: Minor scratches and loss to blue. MOVEMENT PLATES: Very fine scratches on plate; Regulator assembly with a few specks of oxide; One case screw with minor scratches. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) ; Lever slot needs to be opened to prevent lever binding. Chain with wear.
